Mark Ryan McConnell and Kathryn Jane Smith were married at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2015, at the Irish Cultural Museum, 917 Rue Conti, New Orleans, La. The Rev. Joe Pitzer performed the ceremony for the son of Mark and Shelly McConnell of Choctaw, Okla. and the daughter of Thomas and Jane Smith of Columbia.

The maids of honor were Lauren and Emily Smith, and the bridesmaids were Katie Robinson, Cassi Simons and Heather Vaughan.
The best man was Jared Seefield, and the groomsmen were Tristan McConnell, Ricky Duke, Joe Davidson and Travis Peters.
The bride, a 2007 graduate of Rock Bridge High School, received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla., in 2011. She is a resource manager for Leidos home base in Reston, Va. She lives in Portland, Ore., and works for the Virginia-based company from home.
The groom, a 2003 graduate of Choctaw High School in Choctaw, Okla., received his RN certification from Rose State College, Midwest City, Okla., in 2012 . He is a registered nurse in the neo-trauma intensive care unit at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, Ore.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at Musee Conti, New Orleans, La.
